Of Hellos and Long Weekends

Hi! This is my first post just to say I doubt there will be anything scintillating or groundbreaking in anything I ever write, but for the sake of having something to play with and the hope that someone, somewhere, will read this, makes it a fun toy (at least for now). I'm sure I will be playing with it more in days to come.

Thank goodness for 4-day weekends! Not only do we get to honor those who have served our country so faithfully and selflessly, I am getting away from work! Ben and I are going hiking/backpacking this weekend in Hell's Canyon National Recreation Area in Oregon and Idaho. Should be awesome! We're spending the first night at a campground and then after that we're hiking into the park and will spend one night on the trail before hiking back and heading home in time to relax the second half of the weekend. Pictures definitely to come!
